Mixed Media - Assemblage Of Used Paint Tubes And Old Paint Brushes In A Display Box Under Glass
Description
This is basically, recycling, I don't like throwing out old paint brushes or empty paint tubes, so I make more art with the materials which I use for my paintings. I combine them in an assemblage of tubes and brushes, held in place with a backing board of MDF and glass to the front, in a display box. The frame of the box is painted Cobalt blue and ready to hang. The display box keeps the composition in position. I also place text on some of the tubes. I suppose it is an homage to one of my favourite colours. If the tubes and brushes could speak , they would have many stories about the various paintings they were involved in creating. In this assemblages there are approximately 40 tubes and 12 brushes. My paint tubes and paint brushes are the essential materials in the creative process, without them none of my paintings would exist, they deserve to be celebrated. The display box is 19" x 19" and 3" in depth.
